How do I set up a PPTP connection on my Mac?

VPN Tracker 365 supports PPTP connections under Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan, macOS 10.12 Sierra, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, macOS 10.14 Mojave, macOS 10.15 Catalina, macOS 11 Big Sur* and macOS 12 Monterey*.

To set up a connection to a remote server via PPTP VPN, please carry out the following steps:

  • Click "File" > "New" > "Company Connection"
  • Go to the "IPSec/L2TP/PPTP" tab
  • Choose "Connection based on PPTP Protocol" and click "Create"
  • Under "VPN Gateway", enter the IP address or Host Name of the PPTP server you want to connect to. You can also give your connection a custom name
  • To start using your new VPN connection, select "Export"
